What's Out There: Commonly Used Textbooks in Middle School and Non-AP High School Courses

Editors' Note: The following list does not include every World History textbook on the market. Instead, this list represents some of the most commonly used textbooks in both AP and college classrooms, and provides links to detailed tables of contents, price information, etc. WHC does not endorse the adoption of any particular World History textbook, but rather seeks to make information about what is available accessible. If there is a text you would like to see included on this list, please email worldhistoryconnected@wsu.edu.

Middle School, Grades 6-9
Please note that state requirements and curricular structure dictates that most publishers have multiple editions for various state systems, and that some states have adopted texts not used elsewhere. This list, therefore, is quite general, and represents a sampling of texts from several publishers.
